South Essex Cross-Country League Race 5

This is a team event with the first six men and four women in scoring for the team, although two of the men and one of the women have to be veterans.  But we still need as many club members to take part as possible as this reduces the points scored by the teams from other clubs. 

As always, you don’t have to be fast, you don’t have to be experienced, you just need to be able to complete the race distance.

Races start at 10am. The men’s and ladies teams run together.

Race Distance: 6.8 km / 4.25 miles

Entry fee is £5 per person - pay in advance via BACS transfer or on the day

Runners must wear their Pitsea Running Club colours.

Presentations to take place at 11:45 – 12:00 as soon as results collated.

The course is one lap of 6.4km/4 miles, and runs close to parts of the Olympic Mountain Bike Course. It does include some gravel sections therefore spikes may not be suitable to wear.

Access. Entry to the park is via Chapel Lane which is off the A13 in Hadleigh. Just follow the brown road signs down to the car park.

Parking. Charges are as follows: Up to 1 hour £1.60, up to 2 hours £3.20, up to 3 hours £4.70, and over 3 hours £6.30, therefore we strongly suggest you car share wherever possible to minimise cost and ease congestion in the car park. You can visit the MiPermit portal page and download the App to pay for your parking in advance.

DO NOT try to park in the road (Chapel Lane), use the car park.

Only members of the 12 clubs in the league plus named 2nd claim runners may take part, strictly no guests.

Refreshments. Refreshments will be available after the race but unfortunately will not be free.
