Structured track sessions will build your strength, endurance, speed and running technique. Sessions run for 30 minutes to an hour and everyone is welcome.
Every Tuesday, meet at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.
Basildon Sporting Village Running Track, Cranes Farm Road, Basildon, Essex SS14 3GR. Free parking.
The structured sessions consist of a brief explanation followed by a group warm up that involves dynamic exercises and drills designed to get you ready to run.
The groups are divided by ability.
Basildon Sporting Village charge £4.50 per person per track session. However, if you are a member of Pitsea Running club we are currently offering this at £3.00 per person per track session. We are also inclusive of non members, contact us for more details.
Please be aware of our track etiquette
You should only run round the track anti-clockwise.
You should run in lane 1 and overtake on the outside of other runners.
If you are being overtaken, stay in lane 1.
If you need to make someone aware of your presence, shout "track".
When doing your recoveries, please use the outer lanes so that those doing their efforts can use the inside lane(s).
