Welcome to the July Crown to Crown Race in our 2024 Crown to Crown Race Series
Online registration is now closed
On the Day entries will be available (cash or card)
We will be limiting race entries to a maximum of 350 runners and ask you to use the online registration to ensure you are not disappointed, as the “on the day” availability will be limited.
We welcome runners of all ages and abilities; our dedicated team of marshals support and encourage every participant and our tail runner ensures that nobody comes last.
Although we offer an environment for all, we are proud to have Great British athletes as our course record holders, namely Adam Hickey in 2013 and Jessica Judd in 2015.
The start and finish is at Westley Heights Country Park located at the rear of Miller & Carter, Langdon Hills.
There is a free car park located at the rear of Miller & Carter Restaurant. Please DO NOT park in the Miller & Carter car park.
Toilets, but no showers or changing facilities. Please Note:- The toilets are currently out of service and we do not expect them to be open for this event.
The route takes runners out of the Country Park onto Lee Chapel Lane and into the Essex Wildlife Trusts’ Willow Park. The middle section is a clockwise loop round the nature reserve where some of the course may become muddy. Then it’s back to Lee Chapel Lane and then on to the finish in the Country Park.
Runners can use road or trail shoes. The route is not suitable for running spikes.
The start line is a 2 minute walk from the number collection/registration area - please leave sufficient time to reach the start line for the 11am start.
The start area is narrow and can become congested, please listen to the marshals on the day who will guide you to the start line at the appropriate time.
We will have plenty of marshals at the start area to guide you and throughout the course, so please ask one of our volunteers who will be wearing a Pitsea Running Club luminous bib.
After the run, we ask you to move away from the finish line to avoid crowding.
