About the Event

This is a team and individual event with the first four Pitsea Running Club ladies and the first six Pitsea Running Club men to finish in their respective races  scoring points for Pitsea Running Club in the Essex League.

Every Pitsea Running Club runner scores points as individuals in your age category. Age categories go up in five year slots – senior men/women then 40, 45, 50 etc., and if you complete four of the Essex League races you will be in the running for one of the awards that are given for the first three ladies and first three men in each age category at the end of the season.

Second claim members are welcome to run if your first claim club is not competing, but you won't be able to score for points.

Runners must wear their Pitsea Running Club colours.

As always, you don’t have to be fast, you don’t have to be experienced, you just need to be able to complete the race distance.

Sign up is on the day and free of charge.

Notes for this fixture:

1. The races will follow the same routes as last year. Maps of the race routes will be posted at the venue.

2. Parking at the venue is always difficult with the restricted width access. Please be patient and follow the parking marshals instructions. We are again hoping to use the large field at the venue. The Park Ranger has advised, however, we will not be able to use the field if it becomes too wet following any prolonged rainfall. If the field becomes unavailable to us, parking at the venue will be very limited and you will have to use suitable surround roads. Hopefully the weather will be kind and do look out for any updates on parking via the Essex XC league FB page. Please do car share where possible.

3. There will be portaloo toilet facilities but no changing facilities at the site.

Directions

The venue is at Langdon Hills Country Park, One-Tree-Hill, Post Code SS17 9NH.

From the A13 Five Bells Roundabout head for the B1420 Corringham.

The Country Park is sign posted at a roundabout (By the Eastern Garage) about half a mile along the B1420.
