About the Event
This year’s Essex Cross-County Relay Races are being hosted by Billericay Striders Running Club in the 500 acre Weald Country Park.
The relays are a really good introduction to cross country running and are always a fun and enjoyable team event.
Entry is open to all First Claim members of Pitsea Running Club.
Second Claim members can enter if their First Claim club isn’t taking part.
The race entry fee of £20 per team is paid by Pitsea Running Club.
The ladies run in teams of three, the men in teams of four and the mixed teams run in teams of four (two women and two men) Each person in a team runs 6k.
You don’t have to be fast, you don’t have to be experienced, you just need to be able to complete 6k.
The race route at Weald Country Park is mostly the parkrun route and is likely to be muddy so trail shoes are recommended.
Runners must wear their Pitsea Running Club colours.
Further details about this race will be posted on the Pitsea Running Club Facebook Members Group.
