South Essex Cross-Country League Race 1

This is a team event with the first six men and four women in scoring for the team, although two of the men and one of the women have to be veterans.  But we still need as many club members to take part as possible as this reduces the points scored by the teams from other clubs. 

As always, you don’t have to be fast, you don’t have to be experienced, you just need to be able to complete the race distance.

Races start at 10am. The men’s and ladies teams run together.

Club Colours MUST be worn

Race Distance: 6.5 km / 4 miles

This is £5 pay on the day, paid in cash or transfer to the Pitsea account please.

The course is one lap and runs close to parts of the Olympic Mountain Bike Course which is a gravel surface. Spikes can be worn by running at the side of these paths.

Access. Entry to the park is via Chapel Lane which is off the A13 in Hadleigh. Just follow the brown road signs down to the car park.

Parking.  Charges are as follows: Up to 1 hour £2.50, up to 2 hours £3.80, up to 4 hours £5.10, and all day £6.30, therefore we strongly suggest you car share wherever possible to minimise cost and ease congestion in the car park. You can visit the MiPermit portal page and download the App to pay for your parking in advance.

DO NOT try to park in the road (Chapel Lane), please use the car park.

Refreshments will be available to purchase after the race at The Hub.

Presentation.   Will take place shortly after the race as soon as scoring sheets are handed in and have been checked.
