August and September were pretty busy on the Grand Prix front
21st August 2022 - Clacton Half Marathon and 10k
The Clacton Half Marathon and 10k were new additions to our Grand Prix competition this year, and a little bit further away, but the 4 Pitsea runners that made the trip to the seaside enjoyed a nice run in the sun, and one even had a dip in the sea afterwards!
11th September 2022 - Pleshey Half Marathon
Unusually there was just one Pitsea runner at this years Pleshey Half, probably because there were two other popular local races and big events such as The Great North Run and the New Forest Marathon on the same.
18th September 2022 - Ingatestone 5
Because there were very few local 5 mile races this year we had to pick two races on the same day. for this years Grand Prix competition, which is why there was just the one Pitsea runner making the trip to Ingatestone.
18th September 2022 - Southend 10k
It was great to see the Southend 10k back after three years of no race. 13 Pitsea runners headed to a sunny (slightly chilly ) Southchurch Park ready for a nice run along Southend Sea Front.
