OK, so whose idea was it to start this seasons Grand Prix competition with the Essex Cross-Country 10k at Hadleigh Country Park on Saturday? Steep hills, narrow paths. kissing gates and cows made for a pretty challenging race., so well done to all the intrepid Pitsea Running Club runners who took on the challenge, and to the first claim members who were the first to earn some points on the Grand Prix table this year.
There are plenty of opportunities to earn more points in September with three Grand Prix races.
8th September - Chase The Sun @ the Olympic Park (5k)
12th September - Ingatestone 5 (5 miles)
19th September - Pleshey Half (Half Marathon)
