Our first Grand Prix race in 2022 was a very different Leigh-on-Sea 10k to previous years. It was a brand new route and for the first time it was a night time run. Pitsea RC runners and supporters were there in force.
The course was challenging, and a little scary, especially the rather wild, uneven and very dark parts of the route around Two Tree Island, and as for "The Hill" at mile 4,, well the less said the better, but the marshals were brilliant, the downhills were lovely, it was pretty cool running in the dark and we loved it.
